GamersNights is a multiplayer video gaming community based in Uganda. We host servers on Liquid Telecom's lightning fast regional network; organize tournaments and events; and actively work to develop the online gaming ecosystem in Africa. To learn more about us and what we do, click here.

Shortly on the back of our recent launch of our Dedicated Minecraft Server - minecraft.liquid.gamersnights.com we have now launch two new servers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Serious Sam 3!

You can find both of these on mw3.liquid.gamersnights.com and ss3.liquid.gamersnights.com respectively.

The MW3 server is already seeing regular action lots of nights so feel free to join the Mayham!

We launched a Minecraft server on the Liquid Telecom backbone network while the askari wasn't looking. If you don't already have the game, get a copy here. It's good on Linux, Mac, and Windows.

Fundi Bots, a Ugandan non-profit initiative promoting Robotics to solve local technical problems held a Robotics Camp at Gulu High School, in Gulu, Uganda. The camp was fully funded by Oysters and Pearls, and International NGO run by Sandra Washburn.

Gamers Nights was invited to the Gulu Robotics Camp to enhance the tech learning experience and give the kids a bucket load of fun. Agent Smith, DiamondTrust and NtindaSnyper set off to Gulu on 22nd Jan to answer the 'call...

Our servers now have excellent routes to Kenya thanks to the magicians in Liquid Telecom's NOC. Latency should be under 50ms for players on all major networks. We also have excellent routes to South Africa and will soon bring Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana online.

We just installed a $20,000 server donated by Liquid Telecom. Liquid have also given us an uncapped link to their backbone network and will announce our IP address space at every IXP they can reach in Africa. This means that, for the first time ever, gamers in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa will all have fast access to the same server.
